Our Twinkle Stars is an introductory 8week twirling and dance program. The athletes in this class will attend 1 class per week 30minutes in length where they will learn and earn their 1st level STAR Badge. This Badge includes 10 basic entry twirling elements as well as 10 basic ballet/jazz dance elements. The athletes in the program attend strictly to learn the required skills to earn badge #1. There is no obligation to parades, peformances or other club activities. It's a "get your feet" wet into baton! Programs are offered in September (8weeks) and then January (8weeks)

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Use of Baton included (if you wish to purchase cost is $35), Black Shorts, a T Shirt(you may purchase a Stars United Top or your own basic black tank top) & BLACK gymnastic slippers. Hair is to be tied neatly in a pony tail.
This is our FULL season introductory to twirling! Classes are a 4:1 ratio and will split where possibly within similar age groups for better learning. The Class will advance and develop based on the overall level of the GROUP. The athletes in this program will be FULL Stars in the Stars United Club. They will participate in our Santa Claus Parades (as float goers!), our Annual Holiday Display as well as our Club Year End Show (May), and any other various community performances. Your commitment level is UP to you! As always those who attend regular class develop quicker and faster!
Shooting Star members will earn a min. of 2 most often 3 Badges this season. All badges consist of 10 technical twirling elements and 10 basic technical ballet and jazz technique. Also in the 2nd half of the season our ShootingStars will beging flexibility and gymnastic work. Members have 1 time per week class 45minutes. Season is from September- May

Athletes in our Rising Star Program either Non Competitive or Pre Competitive must have at least 1 season of twirling. Those members who were in Shooting Stars and over the age of 6 will automatically be placed in the Rising Star Non Competitive (unless you would like to repeat the Shooting Star Program).
Our Non Competitive RS- 1 class per week 60minutes in length. athletes in this program will continue to develop in their twirling skills and add 2 more badges to their training as well as continue to develop in Ballet and Jazz movement, athletes in this program will be introduced to more dance routines and Pom routine elements. Also athletes in this program will learn more gymnastics and flexibility movement. This is a full season program September-May. Athletes in this program will be involved in all aspects of our club from fundraising, to performances, to participating in our local hosted event in the marching and performance events. Parades, Holiday Display, Year End Show.
Our Competitive RS- this is an introductory to those athletes and families maybe wishing to see what competition is about! Athletes in this program will twirl 1 time per week for 90minutes, as well will be required to take at least 1-30minute individual lesson(to be discussed with Director). Athletes in this program will get all of the above elements as well as an added 30minutes for competition routine development and training. Athletes will ONLY compete locally in 3-4 events in the GTA area (Oshawa-Hamilton areas and locally), season is from September-May with an option to attend our Nationals in Kitchener in July (based on team vote). Fundraising will be expected in this program as well mandatory bingo involvement (a meeting inSeptember to discuss will be held)

Hair is to be tied back in a tight BUNlessons will be given to those who need hair assistance). Members in this program are required to purchase a CLUB tracksuit for events as well, be involved in fundraising and invited to all CLUB social activities and performances. If you are interested in Competitive Rising Star the Techncial Director will have a start up meeting for new Competitive members in September.
Members in our Galaxy program are members who have at least 2 years twirling experience and have spent 1 year in our Pre Competitive Rising Star. This is our Elite program. Athletes in this program often train 2-3 days per week, with a mandatory individual lessons. Most of our Team lessons are Held Thursday evening, however in some cases pending we may offer some teams on the weekend!
Teams and individuals are discussed and athletes are placed on teams strictly based on work ethic, skill level and family commitment level. The amount of teams or routines gets determined by the Technical Director. The Season program is a flat rate regardless of how many routines. Each Galaxy member will get a skills class, development on proper warm up and cool down exercises, and stretching/flexbility and dance classes throughout the season. Galaxy members will be eligible for guest coaching and travel opportunties. Each athletes program is set with the family and technical Director. This team will be expected to do some traveling including but not limited to Cross border contests (Buffalo, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland all possibly) as well as AYOP in July in South Bend, Indiana. Athletes and families in this program are expected to be involved in all fundraising efforts and bingo is mandatory in this group (meeting in September to discuss).
CLASS TIMES & LOCATIONS: CURRENTLY OUR COMPETITIVE PROGRAM MOSTLY OPERATES OUT OF RICHMOND HILL GYMS AS THE FACILITIES ARE MORE IDEAL. WE OFFER INDIVIDUAL LESSONS IN NEWMARKET, RICHMOND HILL OR YOUR AREA....TEAMS ARE MOST OFTEN DONE IN RICHMOND HILL OR SURROUNDING GYMS IN YORK REGION (in world years should we work with a combined group locations will travel for all athletes)

Members in this program are required to purchase a CLUB tracksuit for events as well, be involved in fundraising and invited to all CLUB social activities and performances. If you are interestedin joining Stars United from another twirling avenue we welcome you and ask that you contact our Technical Director directly to set up an evaluation and meeting time.
